Job summary

Howe Maxted Group is seeking a skilled Personal Lines Handler to manage new business, mid-term adjustments and renewals, while developing strong relationships with clients and insurers. You will contribute to opportunities within personal lines and HNW insurance and provide leads to other departments.

You should have 2+ years as an Insurance Broker, solid FCA compliance exposure, and be comfortable in an office-based role in Sidcup.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as an Insurance Broker with experience of personal lines and HNW products.
• Experience of working to high FCA compliance standards.
• Office-based role based in Sidcup.
• IT skills including use of an insurance IT system.
• Strong organisation skills and accuracy.
• Excellent customer service and ability to build relationships with clients and insurers.
• Regulatory and compliance awareness.
• Willingness to work towards Cert CII or hold qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with new business, mid-term adjustments and renewals in relevant markets per procedures.
• Record communications with insurers or customers accurately.
• Handle telephone enquiries and refer queries to appropriate colleagues.
• Provide a quality service to existing clients for all insurance arrangements at competitive premiums.
• Obtain and assess quotations; offer viable alternatives.
• Update Accounts Department on payments, amendments and non-payments.
