Job summary

The Howe Maxted Group is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Handler to maintain and develop relationships with clients and insurers in the personal lines and HNW sector. You will handle new business, mid-term adjustments and renewals, while ensuring FCA compliance and accurate record-keeping.

Based in Sidcup with an office-based role, you will provide a high standard of customer service, obtain quotations, and support the Accounts team on payments and amendments as part of a proactive

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Insurance Broker.
• Experience with personal lines and high net worth products.
• Ability to work to FCA compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with new business, mid-term adjustments and renewals in relevant markets.
• Record communications with insurers and customers accurately.
• Provide a quality service to existing clients and advise on cover.
• Obtain and assess quotations and offer alternatives.
• Update Accounts on payments, amendments and queries.

The opportunity

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Personal Lines Handler, who will maintain and develop good relationships with new and existing clients along with development of new business opportunities within the personal lines and HNW insurance sector. You will provide business leads to other departments and provide a high standard of customer service with clients and insurers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dealing with new business, mid-term adjustments and renewals in the relevant markets in line with company procedures and practice, referring to senior colleagues, experts or insurers when issues fall outside of your own experience.
• Making sure all communications with insurers or customers are accurately recorded as per the companys procedures.
• Dealing with telephone enquiries promptly, referring the query to the appropriate person when the enquiry falls outside your own knowledge and experience.
• Providing a quality service to existing clients, covering all aspects of their insurance arrangements; to advise, review, arrange and secure the appropriate cover at a competitive premium.
• Be responsible for obtaining and assessing quotations, offering alternatives where available and appropriate.
• Regularly update the Accounts Department on payments, amendments, non-payments, and assisting in the resolution of queries

What were looking for:

To be successful in this role, you must have the following skills;

• 2+ Years experience as an Insurance Broker with experience of personal lines and HNW products
• Experience of working to high standards of FCA compliance
• Happy with an office-based role, based in Sidcup
• I.T. skills including use of an insurance IT system
• Strong organisation skills
• The ability to work to a high level of accuracy
• Exemplary customer service skills with the ability to build solid relationships with clients and insurers
• Regulatory and compliance awareness
• Willingness to work towards Cert CII or already hold qualifications
