CCL Global is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to support a major UK Nuclear engineering programme in Oxfordshire. This is a full-time onsite role with contract duration until June 2027 (inside IR35).

The position requires hands-on mechanical assembly, maintenance and modification across complex systems, with BPSS security clearance. You will work alongside technicians and other fitters, reading engineering drawings and delivering high-accuracy assembly while following safe systems of work

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent with relevant qualification.
• Practical mechanical fitting, assembly or maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering/assembly drawings.
• Good understanding of quality assurance procedures and documentation.
• Experience working under Written Safe Systems of Work and/or Method Statements.
• Able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Responsabilités

• Support maintenance, modification of mechanical components and equipment.
• Assemble components per drawings and technical documentation.
• Carry out hands-on mechanical engineering and assembly accurately.
• Read and interpret engineering/assembly drawings.
• Follow approved processes and safe systems of work.
• Undertake general mechanical fitting with minimal supervision.
• Work carefully with complex, sensitive equipment.
• Liaise with technicians to ensure schedule adherence.
• Support documentation for installation, maintenance and testing.
• Maintain quality, safety and engineering standards in all activities.
