Job summary

Frazer-Nash Consultancy is seeking an Experienced Mechanical Engineer – Composites Specialist to join their team in the UK. This role emphasizes detailed finite element analysis of composite structures and leadership on structural analysis projects. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £65,000 per annum with flexible hybrid working. Candidates must have experience in structural analysis, a degree in a STEM subject, and will undergo pre-employment screening as per UK National Security Vetting requirements.

Working Pattern: Flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer‑Nash, time split between office and home.

• Providing analysis to support the design of new products
• Optimising future designs
• Lead projects and shape their direction
• Build strong client relationships
• Develop new services and business opportunities
• Mentor and support the growth of your colleagues

Essential Qualifications

• Experienced in the design, manufacturing or analysis of composite structures
• Experienced in performing structural analysis on composites and/or metallic structures
• A degree or PhD in a STEM (Science, technology, engineering or mathematics) subject
• Experience with codes and standards

Beneficial but not essential

• Experience with at least one of the major finite element analysis software packages
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or MATLAB
