Job summary

Accord Resourcing Ltd is recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to join a commercial vehicle workshop in Preston (PR1). You will service, maintain and repair HGVs, carrying out inspections and diagnostic work in a modern workshop with an experienced team.

This full-time, permanent role offers competitive pay (£46,000 - £53,000) with overtime opportunities, a Monday to Friday pattern, and genuine long-term progression within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Previous HGV / LGV / Truck / Commercial Vehicle experience.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Good fault-finding ability.
• Mechanical and electrical repair experience.
• Reliable and proactive approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs.
• Carrying out inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Diagnostic and fault-finding work.
• Preparing vehicles for MOT.
• Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
• Completing job cards and service records.
• Working safely within a busy workshop.
