Experienced HGV Mechanic / Vehicle Assembly Fitter

Are you an experienced mechanic looking for a rewarding new contract? We have a fantastic opportunity in Stockport delivering the assembly of specialized vehicles. You will be a key member of our dedicated manufacturing team, making high-quality equipment for the transport industry.

Package & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: £18.00 per hour
• Working Hours: 39-hour working week spread across 5 days (Note: Must be prepared to work a reasonable amount of overtime/different shifts when required).
• Living Allowance: £25.00 tax-free allowance per day worked to cover meals and incidentals (eligibility based on candidate location).
• Accommodation Covered: Hotel accommodation fully paid for by us (eligibility based on candidate location).
• Travel Perks: Mileage paid at 55p per mile, calculated based on candidate location (up to the route from Evo to Stockport).

Requirements

• Qualifications & Experience: Qualified HGV Mechanic / Fitter with proven experience assembling vehicles (such as planes, trains, or automobiles).

• Work Ethic: A flexible 'can-do' approach, high professionalism, discipline, and an orderly standard of work.
• Safety & Autonomy: Strong safety consciousness and the ability to work to high standards with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility: Prepared to work a reasonable amount of overtime or shift adjustments when required to meet demands.
