Printed.com is seeking an experienced guillotine operative to join the finishing team in Cramlington. The role requires operating digital cutting equipment, interpreting job specs, and optimizing layouts for precision cutting.

You will work with Polar/Wohlenberg guillotines and collaborate with production teams to meet project needs. The ideal candidate has proven guillotine experience, strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work overtime or shifts if required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a print guillotine operative.
• Experience preferred on Polar and Wohlenberg guillotines.
• Able to maintain and perform routine checks on cutting equipment.
• Ability to interpret job specs and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain digital cutting equipment with preference for Polar/Wohlenberg guillotines.
• Interpret job specifications accurately and optimize layouts for efficient cutting.
• Collaborate with production teams to meet project requirements.
• Troubleshoot cutting processes and perform routine maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with HSE rules and ISO 9001 QMS.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated experienced guillotine operative to join our finishing team in Cramlington.

Starting wage ranging from 25-27.5K depending on experience

Duties include the following, yet others may be assigned to the needs of the business:

• Operate and maintain digital cutting equipment, with a preference for experience on Polar and Wohlenberg guillotines
• Leverage extensive print experience to accurately interpret job specifications
• Optimize layouts for efficient cutting, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards
• Collaborate with production teams to address specific project requirements
• Troubleshoot issues related to cutting processes and equipment
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in digital printing
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of printing and cutting processes through hands-on print expertise.
• Comply with all company and HSE Health and Safety rules
• To abide by and support the company’s ISO 9001 QMS

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a print guillotine operative, experience on Polar and Wohlenberg guillotines preferred
• Capable of performing routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition
• In depth knowledge of print processes, layout optimization and interpreting job specifications
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
• Available to work overtime when required
• Able to work shifts if required
• Able to lift up to 25kg
