Job summary

Dunstable Town Cricket Club in Bedfordshire is seeking an Experienced Groundsperson to lead the maintenance of Lancot Park's playing surfaces. Reporting to the Chairman and Facilities Manager, you will develop two cricket squares and prepare pitches capable of hosting local league cricket through to county matches.

You will oversee mowing, rolling, scarification, overseeding and fertilising programmes, repair wickets after matches, and maintain both cricket outfields and the football pitch,

Qualifications

• Proven experience preparing cricket pitches and maintaining sports turf.
• Knowledge of ECB pitch standards.
• Pride in producing high-quality playing surfaces.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends during the season.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain two cricket squares to ECB recommended standards
• Produce match pitches for league, cup and county fixtures, plus practice wickets
• Carry out mowing, rolling, scarifying, overseeding and fertilising programmes
• Repair wickets after matches and assist with end-of-season renovations
• Maintain both cricket outfields and the football pitch
• Keep the grounds safe, attractive and match-ready all year
