Job summary

Purosearch is seeking an Experienced Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join an established, independent equine practice near Royston, Hertfordshire. The role offers ambulatory and clinic-based work with a varied caseload and clinical freedom to manage cases in-house or refer externally where needed.

The practice provides a purpose-built facility, a supportive team, and opportunities for professional development in orthopaedics and related areas, with a competitive salary and full-time or part-time

Qualifications

• Strong interest in orthopaedics with confidence in first-opinion equine practice.
• Experience with lameness work-ups, internal medicine, minor surgery, dentistry, anaesthesia and pre-purchase examinations is desirable.
• Stud work experience would be an advantage and ability to mentor colleagues and build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide ambulatory and clinic-based equine care to a loyal client base.
• Manage a varied caseload including routine, advanced and emergency equine medicine with clinical freedom to investigate or refer as appropriate.
• Collaborate with a supportive team and contribute to continuous clinical development for the practice.
