Job summary

DFDS A/S in Dover is seeking a Customs Clearance Clerk to support cross-border shipments on 12-hour shifts, days and nights. You will prepare and check customs documentation, ensure accurate data entry, and resolve queries for internal teams, customers, and authorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ current Customs clearance experience.
• Strong understanding of Customs processes.
• Excellent communication skills and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and checking Customs and associated documentation
• Ensuring accurate data entry into relevant systems
• Handling queries from internal teams, customers, and authorities
• Liaising with hauliers, suppliers, and external stakeholders
• Monitoring shipment progress and resolving issues promptly
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Customs procedures and compliance
• Supporting colleagues to deliver a smooth end-to-end clearance process
