Job summary

Airmec H20 Ltd is seeking an Experienced Air Technician to join our team, primarily based Mid to South of the UK. You will perform safety-critical air hygiene tasks, including testing fire dampers, cleaning ventilation systems, and maintaining AHUs on high-security sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in working in the Air hygiene industry is essential.
• Experience of fire damper testing.
• AHT qualification preferred but not essential.
• Some water hygiene experience is beneficial.
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge with a practical on-site approach.
• Happy to travel or stay away when required.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fire damper testing and inspections.
• Duct access door installation.
• Duct cleaning and disinfections per TR19 and COSHH.
• Kitchen extract cleaning per TR19 and COSHH.
• Air Handling Unit maintenance.
• AHU corrosion treatment.

Experienced Air Technician - Mid - South

We are currently looking for an experienced Air Technician to join our team – ideally you will be based Mid to South of the UK.

Our Air Technicians essential safety work includes testing fire dampers, cleaning ventilation supply and extract systems, and cleaning/maintaining air handling units ( AHU ’s). There may also be the need for occasional water hygiene work.

We work on high security sites, so for successful candidates we will arrange security vetting, from baseline enhanced DBS check to high level security clearance ( CTC ).

Key tasks include:

• Carry out fire damper testing and inspections.
• Duct access door installation.
• Ductwork and ventilation cleaning and disinfections in line with TR19 and COSHH regulations.
• Kitchen extract cleaning in line with TR19 and COSHH regulations
• Air Handling Unit maintenance
• AHU corrosion treatment
• Maintaining accurate site records and admin including timesheets, expenses, survey forms and job sheets

Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience in working in the Air hygiene industry essential.
• Experience of fire damper testing
• AHT qualification preferred but not essential
• Some experience working in water hygiene beneficial
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge and experience with a practical approach on site
• Happy to work at height or confined spaces where required.
• Good communication skills, able to work to deadlines.
• Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
• Willing to work occasional unsocial hours and be flexible to travel or stay away.
• Full driving licence
• You will be predominantly working Mid – South of the UK
