Job summary

Airmec H20 Ltd is seeking Air Technicians to join the Southern team, ideally based along the M4 corridor, Swindon area. You will test fire dampers, clean ventilation systems, and maintain AHUs, with some water hygiene tasks.

Applicants should have field-based experience, strong health & safety knowledge, and a willingness to travel or stay away. A company vehicle and pension are provided, with ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in air hygiene preferred but not essential.
• Experience in fire damper testing preferred but not essential.
• Some experience in water hygiene beneficial.
• Applicants will have some field-based experience.
• Experience in building sites or commercial sites with maintenance/construction.
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge and a practical approach on site.
• Happy to work at height or in confined spaces where required.
• Good communication skills, able to work to deadlines.
• Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willing to work occasional unsocial hours and be flexible to travel or stay away.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fire damper testing and inspections.
• Duct access door installation.
• Ductwork and ventilation cleaning and disinfections in line with TR19 and COSHH regulations.
• Kitchen extract cleaning in line with TR19 and COSHH regulations
• Air Handling Unit maintenance
• AHU corrosion treatment
• Occasional water hygiene work
• Maintaining accurate site records and admin including timesheets, expenses, survey forms and job sheets

Job description

We are currently looking for Air Technicians to join the Southern team. Ideally you will be based along the M4 corridor - Swindon area preferrable.

Our Air Technicians test fire dampers, clean ventilation supply and extract systems and clean/maintain Air Handling Units ( AHU 's). There may also be the need for occasional water hygiene work.

We predominantly work on high security sites so successful candidates will need security vetting, from baseline enhanced DBS check to high level security clearance ( CTC ).

Experience working on construction sites, commercial cleaning, or similar hands-on environments is essential. Candidates who don't have experience in this industry is not essential. Candidates who are looking for progression, willing to learn with the right attitude is.

Key tasks include:
