Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel currently seeks an Experienced Adults Social Worker for the Community Prevention Team in Nottingham. The role offers £30 hourly pay in a flexible, ongoing full-time locum position, with a hybrid model including community visits, remote work, and occasional office days.

You will support adults in the community, building strong relationships with citizens and carers. requirements include a Social Work degree and UK registration, frontline experience, and a valid driving

Qualifications

• Degree in social work and Social Work England registration.
• Significant frontline experience in UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle, ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Care Act assessments, reviews and support planning.
• Undertake safeguarding enquiries to protect individuals.
• Perform Mental Capacity Assessments and participate in Best Interest decisions.
• Manage CHC and DST work, ensuring standards are met.
• Handle a complex caseload with direct work with citizens and carers.
• Collaborate with health professionals and partner agencies in a multi-agency approach.
• Work in a hybrid capacity with community visits, home working and weekly office attendance.

What you will do:

• Conduct Care Act assessments, reviews, and support planning to meet the varying needs of adults in the community.
• Undertake safeguarding enquiries to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals.
• Perform Mental Capacity Assessments and participate in Best Interest decision-making.
• Manage Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and Decision Support Tool (DST) work, ensuring all standards are met.
• Handle a complex caseload with a focus on direct work with citizens and carers, fostering strong, supportive relationships.
• Collaborate closely with health professionals and agencies, adopting a multi-agency approach to your work.
• Work in a hybrid capacity, with community visits, home working, and a minimum of one weekly office attendance.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

• Degree or equivalent in social work and current Social Work England registration.
• A significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK as a qualified Social Worker.
• Possession of a full driving licence, access to a vehicle, and a willingness to travel both inside and outside the council area as required.
