Job summary

The Emerald Group in London is seeking a capable assistant accountant to support the Expenses Controller with expense processing, reporting and control.

You will assist the non-technical close, maintain expenses records, prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, and coordinate meetings with cost centre managers. A finalist or newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA and 2 years in financial services are preferred, with strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience within the financial services industry.
• Finalist or newly qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Good understanding of non-technical finance allocation processes.
• Proficiency with Excel, including Sumifs, Vlookups and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Expenses Controller to complete the non-technical close process for the Company.
• Maintains the Expenses core process including: invoice and expense recording, fixed asset register, accruals and prepayments.
• Prepares annual budget and quarterly forecast including co-ordination of meetings with cost centre managers.
