Job summary

METLEN Energy & Metals is seeking an Expeditor to monitor and expedite the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and supplier documentation for the EGL1 project in the UK.

You will work closely with procurement, logistics, engineering and site teams to identify delays, drive supplier performance, and ensure schedules are achieved. Strong SAP and Excel skills, plus experience in large-scale energy infrastructure, are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Expeditor or procurement coordination within construction/energy EPC environments.
• Experience monitoring supplier performance and delivery schedules.
• Strong understanding of procurement, manufacturing, logistics and material management.
• Ability to interpret project schedules and assess delivery delays impact.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with large-scale power/renewable energy infrastructure projects.
• Experience with SAP ERP systems.
• Knowledge of QA processes and supplier documentation management.
• Experience conducting supplier visits and performance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Monitor supplier progress against purchase order requirements and delivery schedules.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers to ensure milestones are achieved.
• Identify potential delays and risks to material deliveries and implement recovery plans.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, QA/QC, Logistics, and Construction teams.
• Track and report the status of all materials, equipment, and vendor documentation.
• Ensure supplier documentation such as drawings, certifications, inspection reports, and test records are submitted in line with project requirements.
• Attend supplier meetings, progress reviews, and expediting visits as required.
• Support logistics planning by confirming readiness for shipment and delivery to site.
• Produce weekly and monthly expediting reports highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation actions.
• Escalate critical issues affecting project schedule or delivery commitments.
• Maintain accurate records within project procurement and material management systems.
