Job summary

ANGLO is seeking an EFL Teacher in the UK to plan and deliver high‑quality lessons for teenage students, following the ANGLO syllabus. You will work with peers to create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment and promote British culture both inside and outside lectures.

You will liaise with the Teaching Manager, plan classes, mark work, and provide constructive feedback. A degree plus TEFL/TESOL qualification is required, with native or near‑native English proficiency.

ANGLO sessions promote the communicative approach with emphasis on speaking and listening skills. An overview of the role follows: Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of ANGLO teenage students Work closely with colleagues in the teaching team to deliver the ANGLO experience Embrace the communicative approach to language teaching and create an engaging, inclusive learning environment in language lessons, excursion lessons and project lessons.

Your role & responsibilities

• Liaising with the Teaching Manager and/or WTS with regards to all relevant teaching and student matters
• Teaching levels and course types as directed by the TM/WTS, planning all classes sufficiently and marking students’ work
• Selecting appropriate supplementary materials demonstrating sensitivity to the students’ needs and cultural backgrounds
• Completing a weekly scheme of work
• Completing attendance registers accurately and reporting any absence or sickness to the TM/ATM at the beginning of each lesson
• Being familiar with, and following guidelines outlined in the Teacher Manual
• Attending and participating in teacher briefings, meetings and CPD sessions when required
• Ensuring students are prepared for presentations, excursions, and cultural visits
• Responding to any issues, incidents and/or complaints in an appropriate and timely manner; ensuring that the Teaching Manager is informed as required
• Exploiting every opportunity for students to learn English both inside and outside the classroom
• Creating a positive learning environment which is well-organised and supports the introduction of British culture as part of the curriculum
• Providing students with adequate feedback on their work
• Accurately completing the students’ academic reports
• Following ANGLO’s safeguarding and welfare policies at all times
• Demonstrating a high level of professionalism at all times

Requirements Essential (Please do not apply if you do not meet these requirements)

• You have the right to work in the UK
• University degree + TEFLI qualification or equivalent experience (e.g.: CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, PGCE, 120 hour TEFL course)

Desirable

• Prior experience of teaching U18s
• Young Learners teaching qualification
• Summer school experience
• Experience of project-based courses and/or task-based learning
• Experience of Trinity GESE exams

Benefits

• Bed & Board: Residential: Full bed and board is provided
• Hours: 60 hours per 10-night programme, plus one 6-hour paid induction and two 1-hour CPD sessions on campus.
• No overtime payment unless agreed in advance with Head Office.
• Pay: £978.37 per 10-night student programme including holiday pay Plus 8-hour induction/CPD package
