J.P. Morgan is seeking a Vice President or Executive Director to lead on the Global Oil Trading desk in London. The role focuses on monetizing client flow, pricing, hedging, and delivering analytics to maximize revenue across the oil complex.

The candidate will drive risk management, develop trading ideas, and work closely with sales to provide market color and hedging strategies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record of disciplined risk-taking performance in commodities markets.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of oil and refined product fundamentals and key market drivers.
• Strong programming capability in Python, SQL, and/or another relevant language.

Responsabilités

• Drive performance via risk taking around client and broker market flows.
• Manage accurately and competitively price client transactions and hedge to maximize revenue.
• Engage clients with market color and derivative hedging strategies with sales colleagues.
• Develop trading ideas based on fundamentals and technical analysis.
• Assist risk managing trading books including non-linear risk.
• Size and risk manage positions to create profitable trading strategies from franchise flow.
• Perform daily desk functions: mark forward curves, provide market commentary, hedge exposure.
