Job description

Executive Officer in Lewes - £15.41ph (PAYE) - Reference: 366973

Duration: 3 to 6 months

Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the SRF Executive Delivery Manager to set objectives aligned with National Resilience Standards for Local Resilience Forums (LRF) and other strategies. Develop implementation plans and work with SRF partners, government departments, and agencies to deliver these plans through strong relationships and collaboration.
  2. Oversee the SRF Governance system and support arrangements. Ensure requirements are met and improved through self-assessment, peer reviews, or independent validation. Manage meeting records, discussions, actions, decisions, document retention, security, and data sharing.
  3. Develop and recommend information sharing standards to facilitate document sharing and public access via Resilient Direct. Seek continuous improvement by liaising with Regional LRFs.
  4. Manage information and correspondence for the SRF, making decisions, preparing responses, and briefing senior stakeholders on high-risk issues.
  5. Lead weekly horizon scanning across Sussex, updating the SCRIP, and chairing related teleconferences to maintain situational awareness.
  6. Respond flexibly to emergency events, participating in Multi-Agency Information Cell Groups when necessary, and supporting the development of the Common Operating Picture (COP).
  7. Organise training, exercises, conferences, and visits, ensuring cost-effective arrangements.
  8. Provide secretariat support to meetings and events, including incident coordination groups.
