Job summary

Search Consultancy is recruiting on behalf of a globally renowned manufacturing client for a Managing Director (Engineering Manufacturing) in Manchester. The role drives tactical strategy across manufacturing, engineering, finance and IT, delivering continuous improvement and robust budgeted results.

The MD will lead safety excellence, accreditation programs and end-to-end operational performance, while shaping a high-performing, integrated leadership team in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent (Desirable)
• CIMA qualification (Desirable)
• Mechanical engineering background (Desirable)
• IOSH or equivalent (Desirable)
• Experience in senior management or board level role in Production/Distribution/Engineering environments
• Experience managing rapid growth companies

Responsibilities

• Support tactical implementation and strategy across Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance and IT
• Drive continuous improvement across all operations
• Identify and implement solutions for operational issues
• Plan and budget to meet KPIs and cost targets
• Drive safety culture and external accreditation for Safety/Quality/Environmental
• Oversee P&L and cost control
• Lead and coach teams and drive departmental integration
