Job summary

West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is seeking an Executive Talent Acquisition Partner to lead the recruitment of Directors, Chief Officers and other senior appointments. You will use executive search expertise, market insight and credible stakeholder advice to drive inclusive leadership appointments across WMCA.

You will build high-quality executive talent pipelines, oversee suppliers, and ensure governance, value for money and service excellence in every campaign.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading senior or executive-level recruitment campaigns.
• Experience advising, influencing and challenging senior stakeholders on recruitment decisions.
• Knowledge of recruitment governance, legislation and best-practice selection methods.
• Experience managing supplier performance frameworks and SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead inclusive executive and senior leadership recruitment campaigns from brief to appointment.
• Advise senior stakeholders using evidence and market insight for fair, informed decisions.
• Build executive talent pipelines through market mapping and targeted sourcing.
• Design inclusive assessment processes that provide a high-quality candidate experience.
• Manage executive search firms, agencies and MSPs, monitoring performance and governance.
• Use workforce data to improve campaign outcomes, diversity and succession planning.
