Job summary

Fairbrothers Formwork Ltd is seeking an energetic General Manager to lead our concrete formwork operations in Richmond, BC. This full-time role reports to ownership and oversees estimating, project management, engineering detailing, and field execution to drive growth, profitability, and safety.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of leadership in formwork construction, deep knowledge of reinforced concrete, and a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, budgets, and client relationships

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of progressive leadership and operational experience in concrete formwork construction.
• In-depth knowledge of reinforced concrete construction, engineering standards, safety regulations, and formwork systems.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and ability to travel between Richmond office and Lower Mainland job sites.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day operations across office and field teams to ensure project success.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, and delivery for high-rise and heavy structures, ensuring safety and quality.
• Manage budgets, margins, cash flows, and procurements to maximize profitability.
• Win new business and manage contracts with developers, general contractors, engineers, and suppliers.
• Oversee labor scheduling, equipment and subcontractor management across sites.
• Inspect job sites, enforce safety and quality, and resolve field issues.
• Mentor staff and drive culture of continuous improvement and safety.
