Job summary

AXIS Capital is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner in London to chair monthly expense management and strategic financial planning with ExCo leadership. You will drive Anaplan modelling, scenario planning and AI-enabled workflow improvements to elevate finance business partnering.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning, ensuring clear linkages to commercial outcomes. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Economics; professional finance qualification preferred.
• 7+ years FP&A, commercial finance or related role.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and ExCo-level stakeholders.
• Strong strategic and commercial judgement; able to challenge decisions.
• Advanced modelling and scenario-forecasting skills.
• Experience with Anaplan or similar planning solutions; interest in AI.
• Advanced literacy across PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI and ERP/HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead on monthly expense management and reporting across the Group.
• Partner with ExCo and function leaders, challenging commercial decisions.
• Frame financial value drivers and translate plans into funded options.
• Turn variance analysis into decision-ready commentary explaining impact.
• Be a trusted adviser in leadership meetings, guiding decisions ahead of numbers.
• Promote accountability for expenses and analyze spending trends.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Economics

ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or CFA

Senior-level FP&A experience

Strategic and commercial judgement

Advanced modelling and scenario forecasting

Anaplan or enterprise planning experience
