Job summary

J.P. Morgan Payments is seeking an Executive Director to lead the Payments Controls Strategy and Transformation function. This high-visibility role shapes the strategic direction, socialises it with stakeholders, and mobilises the organization to execute on it.

• Extensive program management experience, preferably with a strategic mindset.
• Proven ability to drive strategy, operations and high-profile engagements.
• Strong communication and influencing skills at senior levels as well as cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic direction and priorities for Payments Controls globally.
• Lead a PMO to support programs across the organization.
• Drive delivery of initiatives with a strategic, results-focused mindset.
• Conduct targeted assessments to surface risks and strengthen controls.
• Advise senior leaders on key business decisions and change initiatives.
• Produce structured reporting for stakeholder awareness of priorities.
• Create executive materials for meetings with Payments leadership.
• Help define operating models and governance frameworks.
• Apply risk mitigation strategies and manage issue escalation.
• Champion continuous improvement and innovation across teams.
• Build strong partnerships across the organization.
