Job summary

Made In Hackney, a London plant-based community cookery school and charity, seeks an ambitious Executive Director to guide growth, sustainability and impact. Working with the Board and a talented team, you will lead strategy, income diversification and partnerships to strengthen community-led work.

You will grow programmes, deepen community reach, and ensure financial resilience while upholding values of health, sustainability and social justice.

Qualifications

• Strong strategic leadership background with track record of delivering organisational strategy.
• Proven ability to secure significant voluntary income and develop diverse income streams.
• Experience in governance, risk management and working with a Board.
• Experience leading diverse teams and cultivating inclusive cultures.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to realise 3–5 year ambitions.
• Develop a sustainable, diversified income model and growth strategy.
• Build high-value relationships with funders, partners and supporters.
• Oversee programme growth while protecting the organisation's community-led ethos.
• Inspire and empower staff and volunteers through change and growth.
• Represent Made In Hackney externally and advocate for its mission.
