What the day will look like

As an Executive Director your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Delivery of business results against financial and operational metrics meeting new, retention, and rollover targets as well as seeking opportunities across other solution lines to increase Aon penetration. Uses standard methodology to scale better outcomes for clients and actively shares within the business.
2. Constant development of Aon IQ – through formal training and knowledge sharing in addition to participation in Client Planning, maintains proven understanding of all Aon services and ensures that the client understands the full value delivered.
3. Delivery of the Client Value Creation Model consistently for each client or where relevant in collaboration with ECG. Applies our standards flawlessly, including bringing all key collaborators at Aon and the Client together for deep strategy and execution of our commitments and plans. AAV – pricing and value; rollover.
4. Role models partnership at every level, collaboration, integrity and respect to deliver the best of our firm to our clients. Supports Aon’s Talent agenda to build and grow diverse and inclusive teams.
5. Celebrates successes and growth of our collective team to recognize their contributions within the business.
6. Communicates effectively and gives/receives feedback to continually elevate the success of the team. Ability to act on feedback to ensure appropriate remediation plans can be delivered.
7. Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of required training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

As an Executive Director your skills ideally will include:

1. Industry IQ - deep knowledge and experience of client industry and ability to access Aon resources for content and solution delivery by industry; proven understanding of the themes, trends and issues by industry plus an ability to match those trends and themes to relevant Aon solutions and resources.
2. Relationship capital: Builds and maintains deep client relationships and uses that capital to understand objectives, influence client thinking, ability to negotiate effectively and create results.
3. Strategy alignment: Fully understands the client market environment and the strategic positioning of the client; able to connect client strategy to all Aon capabilities.
4. Consulting skills: Identifies client needs and clearly articulates the problem to be solved; recognises challenges and barriers to solving them and assembles internal resources to achieve the desired client outcome.
5. Financial acumen: understands the client’s financials and strategy and is adept in discussing this with the client and internal teams.
6. Effective communication: Listens and communicates with a client-centric, strategic focus and adapts to communication style of the client; clearly articulates client needs and action items internally; builds consensus within Aon and client organisation.
7. Team management: Accountability for service delivery, ensuring progress for all client workstreams. Builds alignment of internal client teams on related workstreams. Holds badges for RFP Finalist Prep, Articulating Value and Client Discovery Facilitation and actively participates and facilitates sessions leading to better business outcomes.
8. Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
9. Wealth of industry experience, consulting, relevant experience with complex, global client management.
10. PCP for Aon UK Belgium branch preferable.
