Job summary

Placements24 partnered with a leading construction firm to recruit a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead major projects in the East London area and the Eastern Cape. You will oversee from planning to completion, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery while managing multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, with at least 12 years’ experience and 5 years in senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years in construction project management, with at least 5 years in senior management.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
• Expert knowledge of construction methodologies, contract administration, and PM software.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, preferably East London market exposure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction projects from planning through closeout.
• Develop and manage project budgets and schedules to meet targets.
• Lead, mentor, and manage project teams including site staff and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
• Serve as primary liaison for clients, architects, consultants, and regulators.
