Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Sense is a disability charity in the UK that helps people connect and access flexible support. We are seeking an Executive Assistant to support our Chief Fundraising and Marketing Officer, helping prioritise strategic work, manage communications and keep the executive’s diary on track.
You will coordinate cross‑organisational initiatives, prepare briefs and materials, liaise with senior stakeholders, and ensure sensitive information is handled with discretion.
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and confident Executive Assistant to support our Chief Fundraising and Marketing Officer at Sense. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with a senior executive, playing a key role in managing priorities and supporting strategic initiatives.
Reporting directly to the Chief Fundraising and Marketing Officer, you will provide high-quality executive support, ensuring their time, meetings, communications and priorities are managed effectively. You will be much more than a diary manager. We are looking for someone who can anticipate needs, think ahead, build strong relationships and help our Chief Fundraising and Marketing Officer focus on the priorities that will make the greatest difference. You will act as a trusted point of contact for colleagues and stakeholders, using your judgement and initiative to manage competing demands, resolve issues and keep important activities moving forward. You'll also have the opportunity to support cross-organisational projects and initiatives, helping to coordinate activity, track progress and ensure key actions are delivered.
We need someone who is exceptionally organised, resourceful and comfortable working at a senior level. You will be a natural problem-solver who can confidently manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and stay one step ahead in a busy environment.
Experience within the charity or public sector would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in candidates who can bring relevant executive support experience from other sectors.
We believe that every disabled person should have the opportunity to connect with others and be included in the world. We use our knowledge and expertise to deliver personalised, creative and flexible support at every stage of life. Sense is proud to be a disability confident leader.
Working at Sense can be incredibly rewarding; we offer the opportunity to work in a large, diverse and successful charity where people can develop their skills, knowledge and careers in a supportive and flexible environment. In addition, we have excellent training and development, the opportunity for you to join our Group Personal Pension scheme and a generous annual leave entitlement.
Our values shape the way we behave and work alongside disabled people with complex needs to break down barriers:
Sense is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and adults and expects all employees to share this commitment. Therefore, all offers of employment, where appropriate, are subject to a DBS check; level dependent on the nature of the role.
For this role we particularly welcome applications from candidates from underrepresented ethnic minority backgrounds and candidates with disabilities. Sense is committed to equality of opportunity, and to promoting and celebrating the diversity of staff, volunteers and the people we work with. Everyone's contribution is valued and we ensure they're given the opportunity to realise their potential. We welcome applications from talented people from all sections of the community who share our values and belief that no one, no matter how complex their disabilities, should be isolated, left out, or unable to fulfil their potential.
