Placements24 is seeking an experienced Art Director to lead the visual development of exciting new projects at our East London studio. This senior role sets the artistic vision, mentors a team of concept artists, 3D modelers, and animators, and ensures cohesive visuals from concept to completion.

You will collaborate with designers, producers, and engineers to integrate art across gameplay, review work, and uphold high standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in art creation for games or interactive media with leadership experience.
• Strong portfolio showing leadership in visual development.
• Deep understanding of color theory, composition, anatomy, and perspective.
• Experience managing artistic teams in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Define, communicate, and uphold the artistic vision and style guide for all projects.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of concept artists, 3D modelers, animators, and technical artists.
• Oversee the creation of all visual assets, ensuring high quality, consistency, and adherence to project goals.
• Collaborate with game designers, producers, and engineers to ensure artistic elements are integrated effectively.
• Review artwork, provide constructive feedback, and approve final assets.
