Job Overview

We are looking for an Executive Administrator who can provide efficient and high-quality administrative support to our Executive Team and the Executive Assistant.

The National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) has an unswerving commitment to high-quality, evidence-informed teacher education, and is on a mission to improve the quality of teacher and leader development across the system.

This role comes with the exciting opportunity to undertake a Business Administration qualification via an apprenticeship.

To be successful, you will have some experience working in an administrative role or a keen interest in developing your skills in this area. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills, and a positive and proactive attitude. You’ll be able to handle a variety of tasks, from booking travel and accommodation for the organisation, to managing a busy info inbox, to supporting the Executive Assistant with diary management for the Executive Team. You will also be able to work effectively within a geographically distributed team and handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.

No two days will be the same in this role, and you will engage your organisational and administrative skills to the full, responding to ever-changing priorities and ad hoc tasks in a positive and people-focused way.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to learn and grow in a fast-paced start-up environment, and who is interested and excited by the work of the NIoT.

If you would like to gain valuable experience and skills in a dynamic and innovative organisation, and can quickly adapt, support colleagues to achieve their goals, are organised and flexible, and not afraid to ask questions – we’d love to hear from you.

Key Benefits:

  1. Flexible start and end working times (core hours between 10am and 4pm)
  2. Flexible working opportunities
  3. At least 27 days’ holiday a year (plus 8 bank holidays)
  4. Local Government Pension Scheme

We think a wide range of different work and educational experiences could support you to be successful in this role. We encourage applications from all backgrounds, communities and industries, and are committed to employing a team that has diverse skills, experiences and abilities.
