Job summary

St Thomas More Catholic Voluntary Academy in Buxton, Derbyshire, seeks a proactive examinations administrator to ensure the smooth delivery of all internal and external examinations and to provide high-quality data analysis for school leaders. You will liaise with staff, students, parents, invigilators, examination boards and other educational organisations, maintain records, and produce attainment data for the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.

37 hours/week, 42 weeks/year, permanent.

Qualifications

  • Experience of examinations administration and school data systems would be advantageous.

  • Manage the efficient and effective administration of all internal and external examinations.
  • Liaise with staff, students, parents/carers, invigilators, examination boards, and other educational organisations.
  • Ensure compliance with examination regulations and best practice.
  • Maintain and manage examination records, data, and associated administrative processes.
  • Produce, present, interpret, and analyse accurate pupil attainment and progress data for the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Support strategic decision-making through the provision of insightful data reports and analysis.
  • Undertake additional duties related to examinations, data management, and administration as reasonably directed by the Headteacher or members of the Senior Leadership Team.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about educational data, student achievement, and the effective management of examinations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of all internal and external examinations, both general and vocational, while supporting school leaders through the provision of high-quality data analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with staff, students, parents/carers, invigilators, examination boards, and other educational organisations.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent organisational skills, strong analytical abilities, and the confidence to manage multiple priorities in a busy school environment. Experience of examinations administration and school data systems would be advantageous.

  • 37 hours per week
  • 42 weeks per year
  • Permanent position
Anticipated start date:

19 October 2026, subject to the satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks.
