Job summary

Cheshire College - South & West is recruiting Examinations Invigilators to support our Examinations Department across Crewe, Ellesmere Port and Chester campuses. The role is part-time bank staff, offering flexible hours during examination periods and opportunities to train as readers or scribes to support access arrangements.

You will oversee invigilation, safeguard exam materials in line with JCQ and awarding bodies, and help maintain a calm, fair testing environment while promoting student

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace and learning environment.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Appropriate level of digital literacy.

Responsibilities

• Undertake examination invigilation as required for external and internal assessments and exams.
• Ensure the security of confidential examination materials and follow JCQ and awarding bodies' requirements.

Salary: £12.88 per hour

Location: Opportunities at all sites (Crewe, Ellesmere Port and Chester Campuses)

We are seeking Examinations Invigilators to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for innovative and inspiring invigilators to support our Examinations Department at key points in the examination calendar.

We are also looking for Invigilators to take on additional training to become readers and scribes to support with access arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake examination invigilation as required for external and internal assessments and exams;
• Ensure the security of all confidential examination materials and follow the requirements of JCQ and all awarding bodies; and
• Promote the welfare of children and young people.

Key Person Specification Requirements:

• GCSE Grade C (4/5) or above in English and Maths (or equivalent);
• Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment;
• Excellent organisational skills; and
• Appropriate level of digital literacy.
