We're currently looking for an Exam Production Technician on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract basis. This position is within the ACCA Qualifications team. We are flexible on the working location as we operate a 'digital-first' approach.

The Job

Reporting to the Exam Production Manager on a day-to-day basis, you'll be involved in the following:

  1. Create and manage multiple production schedules for exam content for all future exam sessions adhering to strict deadlines.
  2. Lead and manage external academic experts and finance professionals (examiners and reviewers) in working to the multiple production schedules.
  3. Deliver training to external academic experts and finance professionals (examiners and reviewers) in the use of systems and the key considerations required when setting exams to ensure fit-for-purpose delivery of CBEs.
  4. Ensure compliance with all ACCA and regulatory requirements relating to the production and delivery of exams.
  5. Use and apply system code to construct and build exams and complete detailed checks of exam settings, functionality, and house-style.
  6. Act in accordance with recommendations from ACCA regulators, ensuring that ACCA exams continue to meet regulatory compliance.
  7. Maintain and apply expert knowledge across a breadth of Exam Production software systems.
  8. Coordinate the activities and performance of third-party stakeholders (external examiners, system suppliers) to ensure they meet their contractual obligations and provide first-line support regarding payments, contracts, and production and system queries.
  9. Contribute to the effective delivery of ACCA's objectives and strategies by representing Exams Production at project and operational meetings.
  10. The Person

    We're looking for someone who:

    1. Has excellent attention to detail.
    2. Possesses excellent people engagement skills including relationship building, mentoring, and negotiation.
    3. Has excellent organizational skills and a methodical approach to work.
    4. Can quickly understand technological systems and processes, including how differing systems interact.
    5. Has a high level of computer literacy with a working knowledge of Word, Excel, and database manipulation.
    6. Has excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze factors contributing to system or production issues and to generate, evaluate, and recommend the best solutions.
    7. Can work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines while managing competing priorities.
    8. Is receptive to working in a changing environment with evolving systems and processes.
    9. Is highly motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    10. Can demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of communicating at all levels, advising senior management and external stakeholders.
    11. Has relevant work experience in an administrative or exam production environment, preferably within the education sector or a professional body organization.
