A leading UK Rail company seeks experienced Rolling Stock Technicians for a temporary role in Aberdeen. This position involves supporting fleet maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and documentation. Ideal candidates will have a Level 3 engineering qualification and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and exams on rolling stock.

Job Title: Rolling Stock Technician

Working Hours:

Nights (4 on: 4 off)

Join a major UK Rail company supporting fleet maintenance activities.

Ganymede Solutions is working in partnership with a leading Rail Company to recruit experienced Rolling Stock Technicians to support planned, preventative maintenance on fleets in operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the maintenance and operation of modern passenger fleet.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Inspections and exams
2. Follow technical guidance (VMI, exam timing, etc) ensuring all maintenance and testing is complete, accurate, and on time
3. Inspection, diagnosis, and repair, along with documentation support of rolling stock on depot
4. Complete documentation as required for exams
5. Support colleagues with servicing, fuelling, cleaning, etc.

Candidate Requirements:

• A Level 3 qualification in any engineering discipline or related trades
• A minimum of 3 years experience in the rolling stock industry
• Ability to follow modification instructions and technical drawings
• Experience in conducting exams, fault finding, and fixing on modern passenger rolling stock systems
• Ability to pass a Medical and Drugs & Alcohol test
• Right to Work documentation for pre-employment compliance
• Flexible, reliable, and safety-conscious work ethic
