Job summary

King's Ely is seeking an Exam Invigilator to support examination sessions across a large site in Ely. You will set up rooms, supervise candidates, and ensure strict JCQ compliance.

The role requires a flexible, patient, and team-oriented approach with a willingness to travel between campuses during busy periods. Expect briefings, training on access arrangements, and duties extending to post-exam procedures.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection Issues.
• Ability to empathise and relate positively to young people to make school experience positive.
• Ability to follow instructions from JCQ guidelines, Lead Invigilator or Exams Officer.
• Be prepared to learn equipment used by students with access arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Attend briefings with Exams Office or Learning Support during exam days.
• Set up exam room and start exams with correct initial instructions.
• Complete seating plan and check attendance; update attendance register.
• Record incidents of potential JCQ breaches; assist with forms to awarding body.
• Be prepared to evacuate the exam hall in emergencies and accompany candidates leaving room.
• Finish exams, manage extra-time and late arrivals, collect papers in order and return to Exams Office.
• Attend refresher trainings and travel around a large site as required.
