Job summary

Fakenham Academy is seeking Exam Invigilators to support the Exams Officer and oversee the conduct of public examinations in line with JCQ regulations. Flexible hours and a commitment to available main exam periods are required, with training scheduled for early January 2027.

The role involves assisting with venue setup, seating plans, and ensuring quiet examination environments, with a minimum of three exam days during the year.

Qualifications

• Be able to work flexibly.
• Have effective organisational skills.
• Have excellent communication skills to respond to staff and students.
• Good level of literacy and numeracy.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up exam venues, including laying out stationary and papers.
• Organise students on arrival, prior to the exam, and issue the relevant exam instructions.
• Ensure exam venues remain quiet during examinations.
• Remain vigilant during exams, without disturbing the students.
• Deal with queries raised by students appropriately, seeking advice where necessary.
• Complete annual safeguarding training and any training updates as required.
