Job summary

The Diocese of Coventry Multi-Academy Trust is seeking an Invigilator to support examinations at Harris Drive, Overslade Lane, Rugby. This permanent, part-time role offers casual hours and a fixed hourly rate of £13.27.

You will prepare, supervise and clear up after internal and GCSE exams, ensure rules are followed, and work as part of a team to guarantee the smooth and secure conduct of assessments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, oversee and clear up after internal and GCSE examinations.
• Check desks for graffiti and take appropriate action.
• Check materials are present against the checklist for examination.
• Complete attendance registers and take appropriate action for non-attendance.
• Supervise entry and exit from the examination room.
• Ensure that JCQ, Exam board and school rules for conduct of examinations are adhered to.
• Report any breaches or suspected breaches in security to the Exams Officer immediately.
• Distribute and collect materials as directed by the Exams Officer.
• Start and stop the examination at the appropriate time and have due regard for any student entitled to extra time.
• Organise completed scripts/papers in register order ready for dispatch.
• Sign in/out at Reception per safety procedures.
• Follow all reasonable instructions given by the Examinations Officer or Headteacher.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running and secure running of all external internal examinations.
