Job summary

Fakenham Academy is seeking Exam Invigilators to support the Examinations Officer and ensure the smooth conduct of public examinations in line with JCQ regulations. Invigilators work on a flexible basis, with no guaranteed minimum hours, and must be available for main exams in May and June, with mock exams in February, April and November.

Successful applicants should be able to offer a minimum of 3 days during the exams.

Qualifications

• Good level of literacy and numeracy.
• Able to work in partnership with teaching and support staff to deliver the service.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up exam venues, including laying out stationary and papers.
• Organise students on arrival, prior to the exam, and issuing the relevant exam instructions.
• Ensure exam venues remain quiet during exams.
• Remain vigilant during exams without disturbing students.
• Deal with queries raised by students appropriately, seeking advice where necessary.
