Job summary

The David Ross Education Trust is seeking an Exam Invigilator to help organise students at the start and end of each exam and to maintain a calm, supportive environment. You will provide the correct information and materials to ensure successful completion of the exam, while remaining vigilant and referring suspected malpractice to the Data and Exam Officer.

You will report problems, manage attendance, and follow safeguarding policies, while promoting inclusion and ensuring a safe environment

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at least at the level required for school settings.
• Experience of working with children is desirable.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child welfare practices.

Responsibilities

• Report problems relating to student behaviour or school matters to the supervisor.
• Maintain a calm and supportive exam environment.
• Help organise students at the start and end of each exam.
• Provide correct information and materials to ensure successful exam completion.
• Ensure conduct follows guidelines and students are prepared for the exam.
• Remain vigilant, avoiding disruptions during examinations.
• Mark attendance registers as required.
• Be familiar with policies and procedures, including safeguarding.
• Communicate effectively, using initiative and professional manners.
• Support equality, promote inclusion and safeguard all children.
