Job summary

The David Ross Education Trust is seeking an Exam Invigilator to ensure fair and secure conduct of examinations across our academies, working with the Data and Exams Officer. You will help set up rooms, check candidates, and enforce rules to protect the integrity of assessments.

Educated to GCSE/NVQ2 (English and Maths) with professionalism and strong time management, you will support students and uphold safeguarding standards while maintaining a quiet, orderly examination environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE-level/NVQ-level 2 or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
• Professional demeanor and reliability.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up examination rooms.
• Verify the correct candidates are seated in the correct places.
• Ensure candidates have required stationery/equipment for the exam.
• Prevent access to restricted items (phones, notes) unless notified.
• Brief late candidates and seat them with minimal disruption.
• Supervise candidates quietly and unobtrusively.
• Supervise candidates leaving the room as needed per regulations.
• Maintain examination conditions until candidates are dismissed.
• Adhere to JCQ instructions and Academy policies.
