Job summary

Yorkshire Education Group is seeking Invigilators to supervise examinations across the college in line with awarding body regulations and internal procedures.

You will monitor rooms, distribute papers, brief candidates, read notices, and handle related paperwork. The role requires IT confidence for online exams and vigilance against malpractice, with work as part of a pool during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work with confidence in IT-based exam formats.
• Be alert and vigilant for any instances of malpractice during exams.
• Clear communication and ability to briefing candidates with necessary information.

Responsibilities

• Check examination rooms and equipment before exams.
• Distribute and collate examination papers and materials.
• Brief candidates on instructions and announcements; read notices aloud.
• Complete related paperwork and log exam issues.
• Monitor for malpractice and respond to candidate concerns.
• Be available for computer-based/online exams as needed.
• Work in a pool of invigilators as required by the Group.
