Job summary

Heart of Yorkshire Education Group is seeking Invigilators to supervise examinations in college settings, ensuring compliance with awarding body regulations and group procedures. The role involves room checks, paper distribution, candidate briefings, and ongoing vigilance for malpractice, with paperwork completed after each session.

There is a pool-based, zero-hour pattern with short and long examinations as required.

Responsibilities

• Check examination rooms and ensure the environment is suitable for testing.
• Distribute and collate examination papers and related materials.
• Brief candidates with necessary information, announcements, and notices.
• Complete all related paperwork accurately.
• Remain vigilant for malpractice and respond to candidate issues promptly.
• Support IT-based exams where required, including computer-based testing.
• Join a pool of staff that may be called upon to invigilate short or longer examinations.
• Be available during peak periods (Nov, Jan, Mar, May, Jun) and throughout the year as enrolments fluctuate.
• Complete training with an experienced invigilator before independent sessions.
