Job summary

Buckler’s Mead Academy in Yeovil is seeking organised individuals to join our friendly team of exam invigilators. This casual, term-time role supports students by maintaining a calm and controlled examination environment during busy exam periods.

Dates for 2026-27 are provided with exams for Year 11 and 10, including GCSEs. The role requires commitment, ideally to at least three days per week during these periods and full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, clear, calm and professional.
• Team player, willing to work collaboratively with Exams Officer and colleagues.
• Experience not required as full training will be provided.

• Prepare the exam room, ensuring candidates are seated according to the seating plan.
• Distribute and collect exam papers.
• Supervise candidates during the exam.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of exam materials.
• Prompt, read or scribe for students with exam access arrangements.

Buckler’s Mead Academy is seeking organised and professional people to join our friendly team of Exam Invigilators. This is a vital role within our academy, ensuring support for our students to achieve their best outcomes by providing a calm and controlled examination environment.

Dates of exams 2026-27

Year 11 internal exams - 9th to 20th November 2026

Year 11 internal exams - 22nd February to 5th March 2027

Public exams (GCSEs) - 10th May to 18th June 2027

Year 10 internal exams - 21st June to 2nd July 2027

We are looking for people who are able to commit, ideally to at least three days per week during these periods.
