Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking reliable Exam Invigilators to support East London secondary schools during their November mock exams, starting in November 2026. This flexible, temporary role offers experience in education and the chance to work across multiple schools.

You will prepare rooms, monitor examinations, read instructions, supervise students, and ensure regulations are followed. An Enhanced DBS is required, with PAYE deductions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

TeacherActive is currently recruiting Exam Invigilators to support secondary schools across East London during their November mock exams. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking flexible, temporary work within an educational setting.

As an Exam Invigilator, you will help ensure that mock examinations run smoothly and fairly, maintaining a calm and controlled environment so that students can complete their exams without disruption.

The successful Exam Invigilator will have:

• Previous exam invigilation experience is desirable but not essential.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing examination rooms and distributing exam papers and materials.

• Reading out examination instructions and making announcements.
• Supervising students throughout examinations to prevent malpractice.
• Ensuring examination regulations are followed.
• Reporting any irregularities to the appropriate member of staff.
• Collecting examination papers at the end of each session.
