Job summary

Blackburn College is seeking an Exam Access Arrangements Assessor to join the Additional Learning Support team. You will assess and identify EAAs for students, ensuring JCQ compliance and supporting learners to demonstrate knowledge fairly and equitably.

You will work with students, curriculum teams, SEND/ALS colleagues and Exams Team to provide expert guidance, maintain records, and contribute to service improvement while complying with data protection standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Further Education sector, particularly SEND and inclusion.
• Strong understanding of assessment processes and ability to analyse, evaluate and synthesise assessment findings to inform recommendations.
• Highly organised with ability to manage competing priorities and work to demanding deadlines.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evening work, and a dedication to delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify appropriate Exam Access Arrangements (EAAs) for students.
• Ensure compliance with JCQ regulations in all assessments.
• Collaborate with students, curriculum teams, SEND/ALS colleagues and Exams Team.
• Carry out specialist assessments and make evidence-based recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation and provide expert guidance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of assessment services and data protection practices.
