Overview

Ex-NTP Teacher role at TieTalent. Core subject tutoring (Maths, English, or Science) for young people with SEN/SEND, SEMH, and other additional educational needs in West Midlands. Multiple positions are available; hiring is ongoing to meet needs.

The SEN/SEND Tutor role
  • Provide Maths, English, or Science tutoring to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other additional educational needs referred to Targeted Provision
  • Work with young people referred by local authorities and schools, supporting their educational and social-emotional journey
  • Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities
  • Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
  • Deliver holistic, engaging sessions that meet individual needs and support progress
  • Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
Qualifications
  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and/or other additional educational needs
  • Understanding of safeguarding processes
  • Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost)
  • Two professional references
  • Based in the UK with right to work in the UK, including remote/online assignments
  • Ability to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and follow safeguarding policies
Employment status
  • Engaged as a Worker for short-term engagements; paid via PAYE
  • No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
