University Arms Cambridge is seeking an Events Team Member for Parker's Tavern in Cambridge. The role is part-time and on site, focused on delivering flawless event service and guest experiences.

You will work as part of a team to prepare spaces, serve food and drinks, and maintain high standards of hospitality while adapting to event needs. Training is provided, with emphasis on flexibility and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedules.
• Training will be provided; previous events experience is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail; reliable transport to the hotel is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare event spaces, including table setup, décor and equipment.
• Serve food and beverages with hospitality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the event.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown and reset rooms for the next function.
• Ensure guests feel welcomed, valued and well looked after.
• Adhere to health, safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• This is a hands-on role on the floor with some physical moving and lifting.
• Flexibility to take on different tasks as needed to serve guests.
