About The Role

As an Events Operations Manager, you will join the Venue Hire team at the Natural History Museum. This team strives to maximise revenue-generating opportunities for venue hire events and filming, engaging a wide range of corporate and private clients.

Reporting into the Senior Events Operations Manager, this role will support on the operational delivery of a range of events at the Natural History Museum, from seated dinners and drinks receptions to weddings and private parties.

This role will involve co-ordinating venue site visits with clients and suppliers, liaising on the operational details of the planning process and managing on the day event logistics to ensure the smooth delivery of events.

The Venue Hire team is key in delivering excellent standards of customer service to our clients, as well as ensuring that health and safety processes are adhered to during events in order to protect the building and its collections.

About You

The successful candidate will be highly organised with significant experience in the operational delivery of events within a venue environment. A pro-active approach and high levels of attention to detail and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. The successful candidate will also have the ability to remain calm under pressure, be a creative problem solver and maintain a diplomatic approach to dealing with clients. Knowledge and experience of the events industry and working with suppliers would be beneficial.
