Senior Event Operations Lead (11-month FTC)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Event Operations Lead to oversee and drive operational excellence across global events, including in the US, EU, and Asia. This role is key in ensuring the successful execution of large-scale events and supporting departmental heads in strategic and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a second voice and support to department heads, stepping in when necessary for smooth delivery.
  • Oversee consistency across event, commercial, and content operations.
  • Lead and support a team of 23 professionals, fostering growth and development.
  • Ensure successful execution of global events with high standards in speaker management, sponsorship, and exhibitor experience.
  • Support organizational changes to ensure a smooth transition without affecting team morale.
  • Manage budgets and sponsorship inventory to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Lead capable Department Heads with a collaborative approach.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Experience in large-scale events such as conferences and trade shows.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills.
  • Understanding of commercial operations, including sponsorship and inventory management.
  • Strong emotional intelligence (EI) for team dynamics and change management.
  • Knowledge of US event regulations and labor laws is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Interview Process:
  • Two to three interview rounds.
  • Second round in-person.
