Why is this role open?

This entry-level Events Officer role is open to support global event logistics, venue coordination, regional community collaboration and on-site delivery while helping create unforgettable experiences for our global community.

About the Role

Are you a master planner who loves bringing people together? We are looking for a creative, energetic, and hands-on Events Officer to join our team and help shape unforgettable experiences for our global community.

Working closely with our Chief Community Officer and regional community builders, you will play a central role in delivering our global events, from annual summits and anniversary celebrations to pitch-focused demo days and vibrant networking meetups. Bringing the local communities together and motivating them to support is a key aspect of this role.

This is an entry-level role perfect for someone starting their career in event management, community operations, or marketing. If you thrive on logistics, love a good spreadsheet, and get excited about connecting people, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Support Global Event Delivery: Help organise and execute key global events, including our annual summit, anniversary celebrations, demo days, and regular networking sessions.
  • Keep Logistics on Track: Manage event schedules, venue bookings, vendor coordination, attendee communications, and detailed planning spreadsheets.
  • Collaborate with Regional Communities: Work alongside regional community builders to support local initiatives and adapt global event templates for regional audiences.
  • Deliver On-Site Magic: Provide on-the-ground support during events to ensure smooth setup, high energy, and a welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.
  • Track Success: Collect feedback and track attendance data to help us continuously improve our community experiences.

What We’re Looking For

  • Early-Career Enthusiasm: No extensive event experience required, but a genuine passion for starting a career in events and community building is essential.
  • Organisational Wizardry: You love structure, stay cool under pressure, and consider spreadsheets and checklists your secret weapon.
  • Creative & Hands-On Attitude: You bring fresh ideas to the table and are eager to roll up your sleeves to solve problems.
  • People Person: Strong communication skills with an upbeat, approachable energy that puts attendees and partners at ease.
  • Flexibility: Comfortable travelling occasionally within the UK (e.g., Glasgow, Birmingham, and Manchester) and working occasional evenings or Saturdays during event delivery weeks.

What We Offer

  • Flexible Working: A 24-hour workweek with a hybrid setup (1 day per week required in our London office).
  • Impact: A chance to shape community culture and connect thousands of members across the UK and globally.
  • Supportive Culture: A collaborative, inclusive environment where your ideas are welcomed from day one.

Success Metrics

  • Event Logistics & Execution: Ensure 100% on-time delivery of pre-event communications, venue bookings, and logistical spreadsheets across all assigned events.
  • Attendee Satisfaction: Achieve a minimum 85%+ positive feedback rating on post-event attendee surveys
  • Regional Collaboration: Build active touchpoints with regional community builders, volunteers and trainees, maintaining an updated master calendar for all regional and central events.
  • Budget Accuracy: Keep event suppliers and materials tracking within a 5% variance of the assigned event budget.
