Job description

Our client is a wealth management and financial planning group, with offices based across the UK and Chennai, India. With an ambitious growth plan, they are entering the most exciting phase of their journey, scaling across new areas of the business and building the relationships that will define their growth.

This Events Manager will be at the heart of how they bring that story to life. Not as a booker of venues, and not as someone who simply makes events happen, but as a creative, commercially minded partner who builds client relationships, showcases their expertise and brings their people and communities together. You'll start by leading client events for their advice business, both onsite and online, deliver flagship charity events for the Furnley House Foundation, including their Summer Ball and the Leicester Community Champion Awards, and support their quarterly events for each business unit. As they grow, so will the role.

They are not looking for a traditional events manager. They are looking for someone humble enough to get into the detail, driven enough to deliver events that make a real difference. Our client is built on an exceptionally strong culture, and giving back is at the core of it. The right person will add to it.

Why Them?

Our client's culture is their edge. They are ambitious without being arrogant. They move fast without cutting corners. They hold themselves and each other to high standards - and they look after their people. The right Events Manager will feel that from day one and will choose to add to it.

The Events Manager who joins now will have a real hand in shaping how they connect with their clients, their people and their communities along the way.

Here is what you are joining:
  • - A business performing strongly and growing fast - with a clear, ambitious plan and the backing to deliver it.
  • - A role that will grow with the business - you'll start with their advice business and expand across other areas as they scale, with the freedom to shape their events approach from the ground up.
  • - Events with real purpose - from client seminars and webinars to their Summer Ball and the Leicester Community Champion Awards, your work will build relationships, raise vital funds for the Furnley House Foundation and make a difference in their communities.
  • - B Corp certified, purpose-driven culture - values are not a poster on the wall. They are how decisions get made and how people are treated.

The Events Manager who joins now arrives at the moment that matters, with the freedom to shape their events, and build lasting relationships as they grow.

Role Overview
What you'll do:
  • - Plan and deliver a varied programme of client events, from in-person seminars, workshops and hospitality to webinars and virtual sessions.
  • - Plan and deliver charity and fundraising events for the Furnley House Foundation, from large-scale fundraisers to community and colleague-led activities.
  • - Work closely with advisers, senior colleagues and Foundation board members to understand their goals and design events that engage attendees and deliver results.
  • - Manage the full event lifecycle, including concept, planning, invitations, on-the-day delivery and follow-up.
  • - Source and manage venues, caterers, AV and other suppliers, negotiating contracts and securing donated or discounted support for charity events where possible.
  • - Run virtual events smoothly, managing platforms, speaker preparation, registrations and technical rehearsals.
  • - Manage event budgets, track spend and monitor fundraising totals against targets.
  • - Encourage and support colleagues, clients and partners to get involved in Foundation events and fundraising challenges.
  • - Promotion and post-event content, including sharing the impact of their fundraising.
  • - Make sure events meet health and safety requirements, including risk assessments, and follow relevant regulatory / compliance and charity fundraising guidelines.
  • - Measure the success of each event, including attendance, feedback, funds raised and business outcomes, and use the insights to improve future events.
  • - Help build an events strategy that can scale across the business as they grow.
